The Fall of Karkoff

King Karkoff was feeling angry. Not that that was much of a change. He was angry most of the time. Karkoff was a very bad king. The taxes were $155 000 a month, Karkoff kept slaves and fed them to beasts for fun, and worst of all he tried to take over the countries round him.

Karkoff and the people of Karkoffs Kingdom, Karro-Koff, could turn into lions. They were as brave as bears and tried to be as violent.

On this particular day Karkoff was angry because a block fell on his foot. “Arghhhh!” he screamed and he blamed it on the person who was closest to him who happened to be a tourist from Noel's kingdom. “You did it!” he said. “I see the scissors in your hand! You will pay for this!”
One hour later he declared war on Noeloland.

King Noel's day had started off so well. He was over the moon. He was so happy. That wasn't abnormal. He was almost the opposite of Karkoff. There were no slaves in his country and the taxes were $10 a month (which was approximately 15 500 times smaller than Karro-Koff's). He was rich and ruled the huge and happy kingdom of Noeloland.

This particular day was his birthday and he had gotten a huge stack of birthday presents. Unfortunately the day didn't stay good. At noon, Noel got a message from Karkoff that said, “Someone from your kingdom cut a rope and made a block fall on me. I thereby declare war on your kingdom!”

Noel was not surprised. Whenever the slightest thing went wrong to Karkoff, he would declare war on someone.

Noel decided to get his army prepared. Noel's people could turn into unicorns. He got his men to go to the edge of the country and guard the borders. They saw a thousand lions running towards the border. The men got ready to fight as they had been ordered to. They changed into unicorns and rushed out to fight the enemies. It was a dreadful battle, the worst of them all.

King Noel and King Karkoff met on the battle field in their human forms. Their swords flashed and they fought their way further through Karkoff's kingdom. They fought back to where Karkoff's base was where Karkoff's men were still building a fort. A crane came down with a block on it and hit Karkoff on the head.

“Drat!” he yelled, and fell down unconscious.

When Karkoff's lions saw this, they fled. King Noel took charge of Karro-Koff and it became a province of Noeloland.

Karkoff was exiled to Timbucktoo where he lived grumpily ever after.
